References

  • 2reṇḍu māṭalu āḍu – go back on one’s word. Please also refer to Kriti 'oka māṭa' - rāga hari kāmbhōji, wherein Sri Tyagaraja praises Lord Rama as one who is true to his word.

Commentary

  • 1yōcana – In some books this has been translated as 'hesitation'. This Telugu word and the same Tamil word 'yOsanai', though colloquially used to mean 'hesitation', the actual meaning is 'deliberation' 'reflection' etc.
