- 1graha balamēmi – Please also refer to Purandara Dasa Kriti ‘sakala graha bala nīnē sarasijākṣa’ and ‘kōḷaru padigaṃ’ of Tamizh Saint Thirujnana Sambandar.
- 2pañca pāpa – Sri Thyagaraja probably means pañca mahā pātaka. pañca mahā pātaka – killing a Brahmana, drinking intoxicating liquors, theft, committing adultery with the wife of a religious teacher, associating with anyone guilty of these crimes. (Source – Monier’s Sanskrit Dictionary);
