Having nourished my body depending on the rich, beholding women, I prattle about what I heard stealthily. 4. I do not have siklls; coming near, please relieve my grief by making me pure. 5. You are everything to me; but, You would not come to me ever; I have no pride; please protect me quickly. 6. I am enamoured by You, O virtuous Lord of dark-blue hue! why still this obstinacy? O My Lord, I cannot bear any longer. 7. O Lord reclining in the Ocean of Milk! O Lotus Eyed! O Protector of this Thyagaraja! O Lord of virtues who fords people from the Ocean of Worldly Existence! |

Commentary
- 1janulatō jēri – this can either be translated independently or attached with ‘jepp nī dāri’. In the first case, ‘janulu’ would mean ‘ordinary – ignorant people’; in the second case, ‘janulu’ would mean ‘virtuous people’. Both versions are given. In some books, this has been translated as ‘I go about freely preaching Your Path’. However, ‘jeppa’ is in negative form.
